How to Eat Eggnog Redo?

This is a topic that need be covered quickly.
I've realized that How to Eat Eggnog is a very well done film, and it would kick ultimate rear if I happened to re-do it. Not only may it reach success, be incredibly good, and could be entered to festivals... All I'd need to do is take my time from November to December 26th. It'd also be one of the few full-length features I'd make that would be appropriate for small children.

So comment on this post for two reasons:
1. Should I do it?
2. How should we make it?
2.5. What can YOU do?

Discuss, man! And don't talk to me personally about this. Everything you have to say should be said to all people in DSME.

I think it's a reasonable project.

Polish the film a little, give the script some minor revisions and give it a more full and possibly controversial (positive controversy, sparks discussion and theory) and you've got a big-time and festival ready film.

I'm willing to help out. Acting, editing, mic/camera, whatever you may need.
I'm good with (though i have no examples I can link you to here) image layover, making it look like it's actually there.

Afraid I'm not terrible skilled with videos and theatre.
However, the things I can help with is server-related work (installation, websites, forums, etc.), and I'd reccomend if you need a scene with snow, I'm afraid you'd probably have to go to either Snoqualmie or even Eastern Washington for some snow, we don't get enough snow in Western Washington, not reliable enough. Also, good enough with tools, can do prop design.

I don't like how most of the screen is blue. It's hard to differentiate shades.

Can you make a similar scene with no sort of tint or anything? HD camera res?

Will, I'll have a video out real soon this week that's closer to my cinematographical vision. I'm going to try to get old C-mount lenses from the 50s and 60s to get a unique look. As for a release date, it'll be out Christmas day, December 13th, New years, OR Valentine's day 2012 if production sucks. Sock Buyer will come out soon after or before.

Anyways, to the issue of the plot.

Should it be the same, but refined? Pretty much we could have all the same scenes, just make them better, and add scenes that were SUPPOSED to be in the video. I could make the plot and overall make-up the video more mature, but then it would feel like a clone of 32y2K... I want this to be for the kids. If there's on thing I'd change plot-wise, It would be to develop the backstories of the main characters, to add more reasoning to why they'd want to throw a party out of nowhere. Maybe they're trying to prove something to themselves? Maybe something's going to happen, or maybe they're going through hard times. Also, girls. I'm sick of DSME's Sausage-fest complex... I dunno, maybe it adds some sort of charm, but we still need to pick up some chicks. No love interests intended, though. This is a CHRISTMAS movie, for Christ's sake.

What would you guys like to change about the plot in particular?

I think you should make a new Christmas special, actually.

I think it would be funny to take a twist on the "saving Christmas" you see everywhere, and have it be "Saving Christ", where two men are (sent back in time, very futuristic agents, whatever) to protect the life of the newborn baby Jesus (yes, the one mentioned in the bible) given any risk. They come to find that it's more like babysitting than being the agents they are. What would eventually end up happening is it becoming the middle part of a chick flick, in which they had a baby and they have no idea how to take care of it.

I can imagine it ending something like the characters (going back to the present, being relieved from duty on the job, whatever) and revealing their identities as the characters from How to Eat Eggnog, 30 years in the future.

Think of it as ninja secret agent babysitters - willing to take any risk to take care of the baby.
